Blizzard Rustler 9 (2020)
The Blizzard Rustler 9 is the newest ski in their freeride range. This progressive range is for the skier looking for something a little more playful than Blizzard’s ‘Traditional Freeride’ line. You'll find that these skis confidently bridge the gap from high speed GS turns to surfy pow lines. The Rustler 9 is a directional twin tip (yes you can land switch!), but it’s subtler than most twins so you can still drive the ski and shut down speed by throwing the ski sideways with ease. Carbon Flipcore D.R.T or Dynamic Release Technology is a special carbon fibre construction that makes the ski less demanding/aggressive and gives a very smooth ride. For those who like to push it, added titanal inserts keep the skis stable and damp at higher speeds. This ski is even a great option to go with a solid touring binding for a durable, versatile touring setup. The Rustler 9 is always ready for wherever your next adventure takes you!
Gnomes Comments: The Rustler 9 is happy in any and all conditions. We have found this to be one of the most versatile skis for New Zealand and even overseas. Whether you ski groomers, park, moguls, or in the backcountry; this is a ski you can enjoy anywhere!

Carbon Flipcore D.R.T
Specifically shaped layer of titanal that reduces torsional power in the tip and tail and adds control and stability underfoot. Uni-directional carbon in the tip and tail improves longitudinal stability without increasing torsional rigidity.
Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
Technology specifically studied to meet the particular needs of modern freeride and all mountain skiers. Reduced weight thanks to the bamboo and ISOcore cores.
Sandwich Compound Sidewall, ISO-Paulownia-Balsa-Popular-Beech woodcore, D.R.T. Tech.
Full sidewalls guarantee energy transmission, stability and control and provide torsional rigidity enhancing the performance of the ski. Sidewall provides constant pressure along the full length of the ski.
Duratec is the use of a thicker textured surface combined with maximum edge radius and aluminum tip protectors to contribute to the durabilty and longevity of your skis.
