Rossignol Blackops W Stargazer (2021)
The new Rossignol Blackops range brings together one of the most progressive and innovative ski lineups to date. Rossi has spent the last several years secretly perfecting a blend of stability, maneuverability, and playfulness that is unheard of in the world of freeride skis. For multiple years, the Blackops have been rigorously tested by some of the best skiers in the world to prove that these skis are built to the highest standards. From all-mountain quiver killers to pow slashers, the Blackops range will have you skiing on another level.
The Blackops Stargazer W is women's all-mountain ski with an appetite for fresh snow. At 92mm underfoot, you won't dread those firmer days for a second. When the snow does start to pile up, the tip and tail rocker will have you making some of the best powder turns of your life. The lighter Paulownia woodcore along with Air Tip make for an easy going ride all day long. Diago Fiber around the core helps to keep the skis torsionally rigid for added stability and increased edge hold. The Stargazer is the best option no matter where you're skiing.
Gnomes Comments: The Rossignol Blackops Stargazer W is the perfect all-mountain ski for New Zealand and beyond. If you want a ski that's as fun on firm groomers as it is in deep powder, you've found your match.

Tip & Tail Rocker
Camber underfoot with rocker in the tip and tail provides the best balance between edge hold, float, and maneuverability. From firm snow to powder, this is the best freeride profile.
Rectangular Sidewall constructions feature a horizontal layering of core materials (wood, fiberglass, metal, etc.) combined with full-length vertical sidewalls to deliver optimized edge grip, precision, balance, and power.
Air tip is a specially designed insert that lowers the weight of the tip and brings the weight back underfoot for a lower swing weight.
Paulownia woodcore for lighter weight and a lively feel.
Fiberglass weave for added torsional rigidity without blocking the true flex.
Damp tech is designed to reduce unwanted vibration and deflection of the ski for the smoothest ride possible.
The core is now pushed further into the tip for a design that pushes through variable snow with less tip deflection and chatter while adding to durability.
